Shows the next day, as Rose Magic comes into the kitchen as Moonstone Light is making breakfast.
Moonstone Light: Good morning darling.
Rose Magic: Morning. Oh, by the way, if you have time, can I talk to you?
Moonstone Light: Sure.
A few minutes later, Rose Magic is seen in the guest room, wondering what Lily Glow told her last night.
Rose Magic: I don’t understand, why did she tell me about the stuff that happened at the concert?
Moonstone Light knocks on the door.
Rose Magic: You can come in.
Moonstone Light: So, what is it that you wanted to say to me?
Rose Magic: So, there was that StarCatcher and the Starlights concert that happened last night, and my friend Lily Glow told me that she saw some pink magic swirling around the venue. She believes that it is some kind of magic that causes ponies to make more noise than before.
Moonstone Light: Hm, isn’t that normal for ponies to scream?
Rose Magic: Yeah! But it’s not normal to have them scream louder than a cruise horn!
Moonstone Light: (gasps) Um, uh. Darling, I know what you’re talking about. You might not know about it, but that pink swirly magic is something that my friend Violet told me and my friends about. The pink swirls are part of a magic called “Hypno Magic”.
We see a flashback of Moonstone Light, Violet Sunrise, and her friends as fillies circling around a white mouse.
Filly Apple Heart: I don’t understand why we’re circlin’ around a mouse.
Filly Violet Sunrise: I’ll show you. (lights up horn, uses magic to create a hypnotic spell on the mouse, causing it to have heart eyes)
Pink swirls surround the mouse as it is hypnotized. The other four fillies watch in shock.
Filly Violet Sunrise: This is Hypno Magic. A very powerful type of magic that can hypnotize any living creature. Unfortunately, this type of magic has been used to brainwash ponies behind their backs.
Filly Lucy Light: That’s scary!
Filly Apple Heart: Is that rat gonna get others hypnotized too?
Filly Violet Sunrise: Not really. If it is done in a small group, they will become completely hypnotized by the magic for at least one week. However, if it is performed onto the whole class for example, the consequences are vile.
Filly Sunset Meadow: But, if you just performed that onto a mouse, can other ponies use it too?
Filly Violet Sunrise: Yes. My mom said that for moons, Hypno Magic was being performed only by unicorns but over time, it has become powerful to the point where artifacts such as the Alicorn Amulet are able to perform it. It’s also been said that Hypno Magic found its way into jewelry across Equestria, most notably Canterlot.
Filly Moonstone Light: So, anypony that buys jewelry in Canterlot is able to release Hypno Magic?
Filly Violet Sunrise: Correct.
Flashback goes to reality as Moonstone Light is about to leave.
Rose Magic: That’s horrible!
Moonstone Light: Indeed it is, darling.
Moonstone Light leaves the room.
