This is the day after the Berger trial, at Caulfield house. Young Allen is super pissed at his father decision to forge an evidence, because he and dad were “investigating” the case together. Allen claimed his dad as a coward and someone who is willing to hide the real villain.
Daniel couldn’t reply anything, because he’s ashamed. When Daniel tries to excuse himself by saying “this is for your safety”, raged Allen would only deflect his words back to Daniel lie.
Allen would totally drop a line “To think I wanted to be like you, dad”. Making Daniel very hurt.

Little Katherine, just watches her brother and dad argue. She loves them both dearly, so she’s also hurt to see them fight for unknown reason.

When the head of the family, Madelyn Caulfield, would come to the house during her small break on the job, she stops the arguining, by scolding both her son and grandson. She criticize them for arguing AND for Allen’s poor behavior at the court and Daniel’s poor parenting skills for not preventing that. u-u
Well at least she stops the loud fight. And after taking some important documents she goes back to her investigative duty. (Madelyn is currently is the head of investigating of the goat terrorism on Kovellia territory, so she’s super busy behind the scenes, alright B-) (I admit, this is my excuse for OP grandma not to take actions that would deal with the lore problem just in 2-in-story-months. But, you know, the world in background should continue to live too.))
