The whole day James was glued to Carson. He didn’t want to leave him yet, as he still is nervous at new school. To his disappointment, at the last class of day (history class) Carson was asked to stay for a little longer by a teacher, to discuss the test they were having just before James appeared. What is even more convient (for me hahaha) is that the teacher is super strict, so Carson asked James to go to entrance of the school in meanwhile, so they don’t annoy teacher more.
James listened to Carson, but while he was walking down the stairs, he heard a whistle. He didn’t pay attention to that sound. Unfortunately for James, the sound was addressed to him, along with a shove from a strapping young colt.
The small group of boys along with Crowley wanted to “politely inquire” about the new kid with two horns, about who is he and from where he came from. James asked naively, not understanding what they want from him, but alas he was greeted with hostility by other peers.

James is standing out from other little ponies at this private school, so a bad few does see him as a perfect candidate for bullying (or maybe just a “good” threat warning)
